I’ve had experiences where I’ve been unable to get appointments when needed but today I cannot fault Fearnhead cross medical centre. I phoned this morning at 9am, was able to be seen at 10.15am. Whilst waiting to be called in, I witnessed a very disgruntled patient being very rude to the receptionist who was doing all she could to diffuse the situation. She was very professional and did not deserve to be spoken to in such a way. On being called in to my appointment, the doctor (dr choudhary) was very patient and understanding of my ailments. I felt listened to and was not rushed. Credit where credit is due, Fearnhead Cross medical centre have been great today and I feel that their services have improved greatly.

I was seen to professionally and with care. I was given time to talk through my symptoms. Next steps were set up for some investigations. Everything was explained and I am grateful to the doctor concerned. Kind regards.

If you value your health, swerve this GP practice, it has drastically deteriorated since newer partnership and retirement of Dr's who actually knew patients.  It reputation is low for a reason and the issues you read online only touch the surface of the issues deep rooted within this Practice. As a lifelong patient, I once stuck up for the surgery despite it poor reputation, but I'm now ready to speak up about the lasting damage caused by this practice and the way in which they removed me.

An autistic patient who Dr Tragen described as complex and difficult to manage was removed from this surgery.    Fearnhead surgery were fully aware the patient would have difficulty with the change of new surgery, but they simply didn't care.   No safegaurding was in place to account for the difficulties the change would pose.  Leading up to the removal severely low test results were not followed up, instead they were marked based on previous treatment decisions as the surgery had wiped there hands of the patient as they were removing them.  In a letter received by the surgery it stated the patient would find safer healthcare with a different and new healthcare team.  The fact they didn't feel they could provide safe healthcare speaks for itself.  During the removal process information that was 18 months out date was provided, which management had no idea about the policy change from appeals now being handled by ICB and not NHS England.

As a patient I was made to feel like an inconvenience by certain Drs and main manager.  The surgery continually did things that concerned the patient, without involving the person it concerned.  So many failings in basic communication patients being sent to wrong surgery for example, often lengthy wait on phone line.  Two doctors Taylor and Tragen have attitudes which are condescending and damn right arrogant.  Then there is the issue of someone elses document being found on my record.

Don't get me wrong there are a handful of staff at this surgery who would go above and beyond for their patients, sadly this is overshadowed by those who don't care about patients and by poor main management.  Nurse Andrea at this surgery deserves recognition for her calm and genuine understanding she exhibits in putting anxious patients at ease.  As does Dr Ramesh for being the only Dr at this surgery who listened and was supportive of my needs and directly told me I mustn't blame myself for the removal, that I'd been extremely unlucky in that my Mental health had caused treatment issues.  Dr Tragen was the driving force in my removal, I caused her frustration and she made it clear in her documentation of me that she had a personal issue with me.

I only hope people start to speak up and highlight the issues of this surgery, as all the negative reviews online and in word mouth in local community are negative for a reason.  There is a reason this surgery rated at the bottom end of GP practices in Warrington in recent surveys and it absolutely deserves to be near the bottom.

The waiting room is dull, seems to be poorly maintained with lack of air extractors. Off putting whilst waiting for face to face appointments hoping not to have contact with surface or patients airborne virus.

I am giving you five stars as I was okay to speak to my doctor as now I've got as fur key but I want to ask the surgery can they give it to the emergency services because I've not got a key safe so how do I do that if they want next time to respond to me they have to use a key to getting to the building as I need to give it to the ambulance services

Would give negative stars if I could. Took ill in America and asked my son to go into the doctors to make me an appointment for when we returned. He was completely fobbed off and told to relay to us to use Patchs. When he told them we couldn't because of the time difference they said that I should go into a walk in clinic or A&E. Incidentally I ended up in A&E twice on my return and eventually diagnosed with colon cancer. After the shambles with the hospital I decided to go private, but they needed a GP referral. Tried everything to request one online, tried ringing, and then ended up going inyo the surgery to request a referral. Been told that I have to go on Patchs on Monday morning to request an appointment - not holding out much hope for that! NHS is finished

Very good service from the receptionist, sorting me a phlebotomy appt - very flexible and helpful. Thank you.

I have to say, though, that the Patches system is illogical. I initially went to that (prompted by the answerphone msg) and it told me that as today's appointments have all gone, I have to try again tomorrow. It looks as if the surgery has simply transferred its - not very good - telephone booking system to an app. What a wasted opportunity.

I realise that the underlying issue is one of capacity - quarts, pint pots etc - but using apps so inefficiently just compounds the frustration. Worth a rethink.
