My surgeon,Mr Stables and all the staff at Spire Cheshire were excellent. Informed about everything in advance and operation for knee replacement went really well. Very well looked after in hospital for 2 days recovery. Nursing staff were excellent and post operation for physio. Had surgery using the Rosa system which I discussed with Mr Stables and my recovery has been excellent. If you need knee surgery I would highly recommend Mr Stables and Spire Cheshire for this. Also a thumbs up to BUPA who were excellent guiding me through the authorisation process.

The whole process from initial consultation to post op was smooth. I was given options and understood the implications of each. We tried injections and physio initially but unfortunately that didn’t fully sort me out. Before the arthroscopy I had all the information I needed and was confident going into the day. BUPA told me that Dr Stables was one of their “Platinum” surgeons and my experience of the operation and afterwards attests to that. Prior to the op he explained what would happen and was there shortly after I woke up to tell me how it had gone. We had a final review session 6 weeks after the op and I was able to say that my recovery was going extremely well. I’m very happy with the service that Dr Stables provided and particularly the operation and its outcome. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing a knee op.

I was very happy with my initial consultation. Mr Stables carefully explained the different options and I decided to go ahead with Arthrosamid injection which was carried out 10 days later. It is still early days but I am very pleased with the improvement so far.

Gareth was really good. When I first met him it was clear he had read all my notes and knew my history back to 2015. We then discussed options and I came away being much more reassured about next steps.

Mr Stables gave me lots of information about which treatments were available. I chose to have a steroid injection in my knee. It took a few days to show improvement but as continued to the point it’s much more comfortable.
