Training wouldn’t go a miss for receptionist staff. Every time you need to call expect a 1 hour long wait just for reception. Doctors are good when you can finally get an appointment. Ask my gp doesn’t work. Due to receptionist lack of competence I’ve had a warning from work as having to chase my own sick note.

Really bad service at the reception on an simple appointment to be made by phone or face to face. It's just ridiculous. First told to make a book appointment at 8am not at 9am, online mentions 3 options. Went at 8am to the surgery closed half hour later reception lady told us to come back at 9am, came back 9am told me to go st Thomas surgery to get appointment and I live in West Cross. Phones are never answered or long wait. Trying to make appointment for 2 days shouldn't take this long and have so many hurdle to get it done.

There is a 6-7 minute window to access ask my GP (8am to 8:07am) server gets overloaded with the numbers of people trying to access so pages are very slow. Disgraceful. When you can get an appointment I have found some doctors good and understanding and try to get to the bottom of issues. Once access issue is resolved I'll update the review.

I sat in the waiting room as someone’s support and the way the receptionist spoke to an elderly lady because she was in pain was disgusting. A gentlemen came in asking for his prescription and it’s like she got annoyed because he was meant to go to pharmacy and he ended up apologising and I felt so bad for him. He didn’t know. My god she has no heart. How she’s got a job here I don’t know. She’s got red short hair with glasses.

Always able to get an appointment with Dr’s and everything always followed up, it is split with st Thomas so bit of a trek across the city but seen in a timely manner. Don’t know why people are moaning about the telephone system try the internet instead! separate thank you to Sophie the health visitor also, worth her weight in gold.

Always had brilliant care from a number of the GPs here. They have gone the extra mile to get to a good solution even when that’s been difficult. Just as good for mental health as well as physical which is rare. My brother in law has just joined from London area and is amazed how much better the care is.

Not sure why the surgery has so little stars, I have always been treated really well there from reception, the nurse and doctors. I found them to be very professional and compassionate. I presume it's because people only leave reviews if they're negative!

Wow Shocking . the staff at the ( westcross surgery) sepcialy the receptionist need to be trained by some one and have to learn how to talk to people, racist people ever I have seen, as soon as they know you not from here they treat you differently.
They send me to a privet hospital and from there they say you have to talk to your doctor and get the prescription and I ask for a result of blood test , with out knowing any think they say its normal you don't need any thing.
So the doctor how I saw in St Joseph hospital in Newport he was wrong and the receptionist knows more about my problem than the doctor in private hospital .
