Unisis have helped me with a long standing problem. Scott has been very helpful, willing to listen and offer support or direction which ever I’ve needed at the time.
The program is client led so you don’t feel like you’re being led in directions you don’t want to go in at any particular time.
Getting my first appointment took a long time after my assessment but it was worth the wait.
Scott, my councillor, is easy to talk to and is excellent at explaining why I have traveled the path I have. There are no easy answers but every session helps.
I would recommend Unisis to anyone, while remembering everyone is different and another person could have a different view to me.

Kelly really leads by example with her open and honest, kind and caring approach to business. Her mental health tips are superb and her support and advocacy for positive mental health in the workplace are second to none.

I'm shocked by all the 5 star reviews for this company, so this review is for my peace of mind more than anything. Unisus cared for my mother in the final days of her independent living, before she moved into residential care. Admittedly my mam wasn't the easiest of ladies to get along with but that didn't excuse the lack of care and neglect she suffered in the "care" of this company.

Just some of the things I personally witnessed:

1. Senior staff asking my mam for cash to cover care costs.
2. No engagement or communication with relatives (me) and not returning my calls.
3. Staff turning up late or not turning up at all.
4. Staff falling asleep during visits.
5. Staff constantly complaining about their work load to my mam.
6. Staff turnover unbelievably high. Only one carer that actually showed up consistently.
7. Staff calling for ambulance for the slightest little thing, instead of calling me or GP as instructed.
8. Staff communication book and careplan illegible and incomplete.

The last straw was when a carer rang me in a very emotional state saying she'd tried to report some of her colleagues for neglect but had been completely ignored by her manager. I had already raised concerns with the social worker about the same issues and asked for a different provider so I knew the carer had legitimate reasons for whistle-blowing. I believe that this company contributed to my mams independent living coming to an end. She wanted to remain in her own home and with support that was possibe. Unisus caused more issues than they solved and ultimately led to my mam being prematurely hospitalized. At a very traumatic time for me all they brought was another issue for me to deal with. I never complained officially as I already had a lot going on and I trusted the social worker to follow up on my concerns.

Once my mam got some proper care and professional support she thrived and her last year was very comfortable. She started to regain her independence and the smile returned to her face. My mam passed away in December in a warm, friendly environment while I held her hand and said goodbye. If Unisus wasnt removed she wouldve probably died in an ambulance or A&E! They have left a bitter taste and I would advise anyone to avoid them when looking for a care provider.

Majority of care assistants are lovely, supervisors, office staff and directors aren’t so lovely. They don’t consider if you’ve got children, your mental health, availability etc.
I handed my notice in because you get so much hassle off the office staff and supervisors to come into work even when it’s ment to be your day off, even then you’ve got to explain yourself.
They don’t give clients meds, don’t met the needs of most clients and certainly don’t care about the clients! All about the money!

Unisus are a brilliant care service and I'd wholeheartedly recommend them for any support. A member of Unisus staff went above and beyond to support a service user who was extremely challenging when others refused. A super firm.
