Nearly 4 weeks ago now I asked to see some one about stopping smoking. I finally got to speak to a lovely lady called sue we discussed everything and a prescription went in. I was dew to start on Saturday last week. But no prescription ready. It is now Monday still no prescription. I feel like was is the point. You can't get to speak to someone face to face and you can't get what you need in time. It's getting ridiculous now

SETTLE PRACTICE:

THE GOOD:

Dr Field: Very friendly, helpful and caring.

Female Indian GP - Apologies, can't remember her name - Again, very nice GP, who can't do enough for you.

Practice Nurse: Very friendly, helpful, caring and considerate and very competent.

THE BAD - and there's plenty:

DR SHEILA JACKSON: worst GP ever met - very unfriendly, unhelpful, insensitive and very uncaring - always in a 'rush'. Cant' wait to get rid of you; Quote: "I haven't got time to do that" etc; etc;

This seems to be a general view of this GP - with many saying; she is a real old bag. I / we don't dispute that at all.

DR JACKSON need further Professional Development and to learn how to interact / engage with Patients in a more professional and sensitive manner.

HCA's: Incompetent and unprofessional - HCA's should be fully trained before being let loos on Patients.

COMMUNICATIONS: Terrible Comms Systems - EMAILS NEVER RESPONDED TO! LONG WAITING TIMES ON PHONE to make appointments / get advice etc;

RECEPTIONISTS:

At times, unhelpful, awkward and NOT that friendly -everything seems to be an effort for them. Again, they ALL need further training on how to speak to / help Patients more professionally.

APPOINTMENTS: Very 'hit and miss - can't always accommodate with this - problem is; RECEIPTIONISTS DON'T SEEM TO CARE!

MEDS REVIEWS / PHARMACISTS:

Pharmacists SHOULD NOT BE CARRYIGN OUT MEDS REVIEWS on Patients with diagnosed mental health difficulties (by Psychiatrists).

Pharmacists calling a Patient at home and asking if: 'you feel suicidal' and 'do you need the meds' is NOT AN APPROPRIATE OR PROPER MEDS REVIEW! THIS PRACITCE IS UNACCEPTABLE!

ALL GP'S SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND HAVE DUTY OF CARE TO ALL PATIENTS: ALL GP'S NEED TO STOP PASSING THIS BUCK TO INEXPERIENCED PHARMACISTS WHO ARE CLEARLY NOT TRAININEDIN MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS.

Thankfully we are now out of are and have re-registered with a more friendly, helpful and professional Practice and staff.

All we can say is; good luck to all existing Patients and any new ones - YOU WILL ALL NEED IT!

oh, I nearly forgot - PRACTICE MANAGER -

What a joke she is.

Very unhelpful, unfriendly, obstructive and argumentative.

Tried her best to stop me / us from Registering with the Practice, even though, we lived within the boundary. Had to get CCG involved, who thankfully, put her right.

We can’t even blame Covid for this Drs surgery compleat incompetence. I understand that every one is busy and under staffed theses days but they can’t even get my medication ready with over 6 working days. In fact they admitted that my request had gone through over a week prior but hadn’t even ordered my medication, any one that struggles with poor mental health knows being late with the tablets causes havoc but they literally could not care less.

Been self medicating using online pharmacies for over a year because I cannot get to see a male doctor. I’ve had two appointments booked in wrong by receptionist who then blame me for their mistake. I feel totally discriminated against as I see other people easily making appointments. If the lass on the desk on owe you she books you in .... if not you wait several weeks. Will be taking this further via letter to the practice manager. Absolute terrible set up.

Despite being on urgent appointments my problem was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the doctor. This has been the case whenever we have needed to speak to a GP or another member of the team since moving to the area 2 years ago. Lucky to have such a good practice in our town. Thank you

Went to pick up prescription for partner, 40min round trip, despite website saying surgery open today -it was closed! Knocked on door ignored by staff inside!! Fire safety chap told me it was shut for training, no note on website, not even a note on the surgery door.
In the time I was there 3 other people tried to enter with the same confusion and ignorance from staff.
Pretending you can't see people... what a terrible attitude to customer service!
Sadly this is the 3rd time I've been let down by staff here, the service is going in the gutter. I'd be concerned about what else they're getting wrong!!!!
Sorry I've been a very patient patient but it's just yet another let down from this surgery.,wasting patients time.
