Very unprofessional and untruthful staff.
It's been reported by therapist that appointment was missed due to me missing two calls from them. However, this was not true as there was only one attempt to call and later that the appointment time. I could not speak to therapist as the phone rang once. I called the receptionist straight away and I was advised that nothing can be done besides waiting for next available appointments which are in three weeks time. This left me very upset as I could have spoken to therapist within that same hour but instead I was fobbed off with lies. I don't trust this practice and won't advise my family or friends to use them. If you have the possibility, go private or in another area.

The structure of the module and the consistent reviewing of my sessions assisted me in multiple ways about dealing with OCD. Thanks to my counsellor and the mopdule, I got to learn so much about my mental state.

I had a very positive experience with Tower Hamlets Talking Therapy, and I am incredibly grateful to my therapist, Rebecca Amos. She helped me navigate through a deep depression, and I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist. Rebecca is fantastic—kind, patient, and extremely professional. Despite my struggles with ADHD, particularly in learning how to regulate my emotions, I felt comfortable opening up to her. She helped me improve my relationship with myself and others through compassion and non-judgment.

Rebecca truly understood my needs and provided me with the tools to express myself better.
Now, I feel stronger and ready to walk on my own and continue my journey with more confidence.

I am grateful to have met Rebecca on my journey and will always cherish our sessions.

Thank you, Rebecca, for your professionalism and your warmth.

I have found the THTT a great service! Efficient and absolutely helpful to cope with daily stress or anxiety symptoms. I have to say, they have been professional since the beginning and very knowledgeable. I can’t thank you enough!

My group was lead by Amerjit and this experience has genuinely transformed my approach to my mental health within just a few weeks. I cannot recommend Amerjit highly enough and I recommend to anyone who wants to take a different approach to their worrying to try this group. Techniques like Worry Time have revolutionised the way I think about tasks and concerns. Even just the first 15 minute chat with Amerjit before the group therapy started was a game changer and gave me strategies to try which worked until the group therapy started. Even if you are dubious about joining a group I really recommend you try it, you will be surprised how effective the discussion and strategies are, and how fast you will notice changes in your relationship with your mental health.

Very helpful - give it a go. You can take away as little or as much as appropriate to you. I was surprised how the mindful tools helped me to visualise and get my mind sorted more than when I started Silvercloud. It is no magic bullet but helped me a great deal.

Looking at the reviews, yes, the wait time is very long. Unless you are at risk of harm to yourself, you will have to wait. I self-referred in late November and had my first session in March. Of course, if it's urgent, that could be a problem. However, I could never afford private counselling so I am grateful this option was offered. Like with most free NHS services, the wait time is ridiculously long but that's not the fault of people who work in the clinic. Talk to your MPs about NHS funding, go and vote out those who cut funding to public services, that's my advice.

I was really happy with the service. My initial assessment by Ikkra over the phone was lovely. She was very professional and compassionate. A couple of weeks later I was offered online self-help courses, some of which are guided by a practitioner. However, my personal circumstances changed since the assessment and they took it into account and offered me something I left will suit me better - one to one support. The waiting time was really long, 11 weeks or so. However, once it happened, it was very helpful. I had weekly sessions with Azad and he was really good and flexible with using different techniques with me. Also, when my circumstances worsened, he extended our sessions. I am really grateful for all the support he offered during a pretty difficult period.

Finally, I was also referred to the clinic’s Employment Advice Team. I will admit I didn’t think much of it, I thought it will be a bit like ACAS. I was so wrong! The employment advice team offers such an excellent service. I was blown away by the level of support I had from Yurate, my advisor. We had weekly sessions and she was of great support, both emotionally and professionally. She helped me understand my employment rights, guided me through what should be happening at my workplace, offered job hunting tips, and even quick ad hoc calls when I emailed some queries during the week.

Overall, I’m really grateful for the service provided by Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies during some of the darkest periods of my life 🙂

I was referred to Talking Therapies during the peak of the Pandemic in 2020. I had a phone appointment as face to face appointments were not available. I received a letter stating that I will be put on the waiting list. However, I am still waiting for an appointment. I was told someone tried to contact me for a face to face appointment but this is untrue. I left voice messages but nobody has got back to me. Nobody seems to answer their phone. I even visited their office yesterday and it was closed. As others have mentioned their admin system is terrible and referral- follow up appointment system is shambles. I sent them an email today and requested an appointment once again. Also requested information for their complaints department.
