I initially contacted Toby to help me through a difficult period in my life, but the help he's provided over the past four years has gone way beyond that initial problem. It's not an understatement to say my whole life is better for having undertaking therapy with him. He is an excellent listener, supportive and gently highlights things I naturally have difficulty noticing. I too cannot believe the negative review below. It bears no resemblance at all to the person I know.

I talked with Toby on a weekly basis for about a year. During this time we were able to work through childhood issues that I had previously decided not to address. Whilst our meetings were via Zoom I felt a quick and strong connection with Toby for which I’m sincerely grateful.

Toby offers a calm safe environment and holds space for everything that I needed to have worked through. It has been life changing to establish who I am as a person and to figure out coping mechanism to be able to better manage my life. Sessions are fairly and reasonably priced and it was money worth spent. The door is also never closed on the support so, you always know where to turn for extra support. I thoroughly recommend Toby's services I found that he is non judgemental/ critical as well as a great listener and gentle advisor. Good luck on you're journey, you are worth it.

I came across Toby's blog in a time of need, and wish I had found it sooner! The other day, I was fortunate enough to get on a zoom call with him. He was calm, focused and though the chat was brief, seemed to understand and catch a few things about myself that I would probably too quickly dismiss. He provided help and support in finding professional help in my city. His willingness to take time out of his day to help guide me in the right direction for my specific needs at no cost is something I will be forever grateful for.

I saw a post that Toby Ingham had wrote and set up a time to talk. He was very prompt and diligent to find a time to meet with me, and communicated really well despite our major time difference. Our conversation turned out better than I imagined and he had great insight on what my problem was and how to attack it. I would highly recommend him for any personal problems or questions you have!

I reached out to Toby because I had read one of his articles on a particular issue and I had high hopes in him. Unfortunately half way through the first call he had a very unfriendly attitude with me and did not make me feel safe and comfortable. Instead, he started attacking me verbally instead of helping me. We were not sure whether we should do a second session, but we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately the second session was even worse as he also snapped out on me when I was trying to explain something. This made me feel even worse and I cried for days after this session due to his attacks instead of empathy, compassion, and help. Til this day I don't know why he reacted like this with me but when I reached out to another psychotherapist he confirmed me to me that this attitude was extremely harmful, unprofessional, and dangerous considering the nature of this work. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but for the sake of protecting others from a similar experience, I had to share this experience. When a person reaches out for help from a mental health professional, they should find an empathic, compassionate and safe environment, not faced with attacks, verbal aggression, and an impatient attitude from the psychotherapist.

Toby was able to be helpful by putting me in contact with some with some counselors in Manchester where I live to help me with my ocd. He was patient listening to my worries on the phone and exactly what I was struggling with mental health wise as he could hear I was distressed. Cheers Toby!
