We've been seeing Rosie for quite some time now and we are very appreciative of all her guidance and support along the way. From our very first session, she has always been so kind, warm, honest and non-judgemental, which has really helped us both feel comfortable and open up when we are having tough conversations.
She has been a huge help when life has thrown some challenging/difficult times at us both. Always so accommodating and caring. We are very grateful for all of your help...Thank you Rosie!

Rosie has been excellent in helping my 11 year old daughter. She uses lots of great techniques and my daughter really engaged with her well. I would highly recommend Rosie, she's amazing. Thank you so much for helping my daughter through difficult times.

My son was on a very long waiting list for CAMHS. I contacted the Rooms and very soon, my son started seeing a Therapist. The Therapist was excellent. She was understanding, kind and supportive, and over time, helped my son manage his anxiety.

Absolutely terrible. After being recommended this company, I have just had a phone conversation regarding my daughter's mental health, as she appears be progressively getting worse cognitively, I would also like to point out that she has learning difficulties and has an EHCP in place. I mentioned that my daughter was starting to show signs of Schizophrenia, and I was enquiring to see whether this company would be able to carry out an assessment so we could get a better understanding of her mental state.

It was Elaine (which I later found out is the director of the company) who I spoke to. Within a 2 minute conversation, my concerns were basically brushed aside, and said that it isn't my daughter who requires help, but ME!

She asked me what strategies I have put in place to cope with my daughter's needs.
I have tried plenty of strategies including putting myself on a 18 week parental course, wher it was established that everything i do is the correct way.

So the long and short of it is, if you speak to the director, don't expect help, just expect to be ridiculed. Isn't it amazing that she can come to a conclusion within a 2 minute conversation over the phone, and . Not professional at all.

We were provided with a list of local child psychologists for our daughter and we have seen the same lady for over a year. I can't recommend her enough. We had some appointments at the Rooms on Poynton before Covid hit and then we moved to zoom calls. She has been fantastic at helping my daughter with her issues and providing her with strategies to cope with these going forward. We have required reports for school which have been provided promptly, parent reviews which have been scheduled with flexibility. During lockdown our doctor even did walking visits which were great. We feel very lucky to have found such a caring doctor! Genuinely sad to finish our sessions.

I will always be grateful to the very talented Psychologist at The Children's Rooms. The progress that was made in 1 month of weekly sessions with a Psychologist was unbelievable compared to the regression that had occurred being under the care of CAMHS for 9 years! Camhs had said my autistic child wasn't suitable for therapy, that it wouldn't be useful and that he couldn't engage. I'm so very glad we were able to turn things around for him with the genuine and individualised support he received at The Room's as soon as they took him under their wing. I feel very blessed that someone is finally helping my son with the overwhelming challenges he faced and at the same time feel deeply sorry for all those other young people who are being left without the support and therapy they need in the NHS Children's Mental Health service in this country.

I cannot recommend The Room's more highly. It is a sorry shame that it took me 9 years to find them.

My teenager’s therapist was extremely thoughtful and honest in her approach to him, communicating on just the right level for his stage of maturity. She showed great flexibility in helping him seek solutions to his difficulties, and was able to instil hope and equip him with strategies to take forward. She successfully balanced the need to communicate with parents whilst maintaining a safe and confidential space for the young person. The waiting time was very short and the timing of sessions was very flexible. Thank you for all your help.
