Fabulous teaching, horses and instructors. All the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and kind. My daughter and I were very nervous beforehand as we really were rusty riders, not having ridden for years. Rita and Bertha were both adorable to ride, although full of character.
Both Charlotte and Josh taught us so well . The whole experience was fantastic and I would recommend the Rusty Riders course to anyone wanting to get back in the saddle.
I can corroborate the declaration Old Mill makes re horses come first. The horses are cared for in an exemplary manner. In my childhood I rode at Old Mill stables (starting when it was at the original mill premises) for years and I am glad I have resumed my connection.

Been going each week for group and one to one lessons, it's a fantastic place. The vibe is lovely, everyone's so welcoming and kind. Charlotte is a fantastic instructor as well.

A fantastic riding school with both indoor and outdoor facilities. Our horse is very well looked after, the team are friendly and very knowledgable and are always on hand for help and advice on horse care and tips on riding. There is a real love of the horses at the yard and the hacks out from the stables are brilliant. My daughter has grown so much in confidence and riding ability since being at Old Mill and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to ride.

A brilliant riding school! I completed their Rusty Riders course and would highly recommend. The horses I rode were all lovely and all individual with their own characters which I loved. I learnt a lot through the course and really built my confidence. 10/10 experience and a great gift for yourself or others!

Today we had a fantastic experience. After being very poorly treated by another local riding school Jade and her team were incredibly accommodating very last minute! They were kind and welcoming from the start and were clearly heads and shoulders above the other school we had previously used. The first group were our more experienced riders, Josh was our leader, he was very knowledgable, tentative throughout and knew the horses like the back of his hand.

For the second ride, our beginner riders, he was reassuring and encouraging.
Our group had a truly wonderful day and we will be coming back next year. We look forward to seeing the dream team again next summer. With special thanks for Jade and Josh for making our experience so pleasant.

So good to get back in the saddle and regular lessons after the break! Thank you for giving me a nudge and fitting me in. As ever, I had an excellent lesson with Amy and came away feeling that both myself and my horse had worked well and made progress. For a rider like myself, who wants to keep learning and improving, the instruction and practical support at Old Mill is spot on

I always feel at home at Old Mill, the staff are friendly and approachable and the facilities for horses and humans are of a high standard. I look forward to hearing what activities have been planned for springtime – there is bound to be something happening!
