I used the autism service to get a private assessment for my 4 year old son. From first contact to point of diagnosis was under two months. Professional service that were responsive with communicant and put my child and myself at ease during all stages of the process. The diagnostic report and recommendations were detailed and have been invaluable at ensuring strategies are put in place to support my son both in school settings and home. I would recommend the service for any parent looking to get a private assessment.

We went through the autism service to get our son an assessment for autism.
From the very first phone call to all the emails and meetings everyone was so nice and helpful.
If we had any questions they were answered and everything was explained.
All appointments were made well in advance.
Our son is 10 and for 9 years we have believed he was on the spectrum, sadly no one else has ever agreed with us as he masks alot and fades into the background.
For the first time we feel like we have been listened too and they actually saw our son for who he is.
I had regular contact through email and anytime I wanted to add something to his file or evidence I felt like I could do this.
Every thing was explained thoroughly and we received such a detailed report at the end, with all the observations and recommendations.
We did alot of research in places locally and are very happy we chose the autism service.

We are extremely happy with The Autism Service. From day one they dealt with us with utmost professionalism. Answering any questions we had, putting us at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. After years of being passed from pillar to post we finally have a diagnosis of ADHD. This will enable us to finally move forward put plans in place and get the appropriate treatment for our daughter and strategies for us as she moves into adulthood. The Autism Service were absolutely brilliant in assessing, observing and diagnosing our son's ASD. They worked to a tight deadline and the final report submitted was incredibly insightful and helpful. As with most parents awaiting an autism assessment on the NHS I was getting impatient and needed my son’s diagnosis before he was 50 so I looked at going private. After looking at MANY different companies I chose The Autism Service because they were mid range with their pricing, the had a good reputation and fast availability.
From the first contact I was given a contact in admin who booked all the appointments and I was able to ask many questions through email with a prompt responses.
The 3 appointments were with 3 different psychiatrist, the initial parent appointment was by video call using google, the next two were face to face (the third one should have been a school observation but because of my son being 16 he was allowed to refuse this and have a face to face instead). All clinicians were lovely, understanding and easy to talk to. The whole process was done within 2 months due to it being over Christmas the report took a little longer to be produced but I had it by the first week in January.
The report is electronically sent, contains everything you need for the diagnosis and recommendations moving forward…
Overall I couldn’t recommend this service highly enough, I will be using them again for my other child. Thank you Autism service, you’ve been amazing!

We have recently used the Autism Service to carry out an assessment. We have found their communication and understanding going through this process excellent. We were well informed about the process and given plenty of time to ask any questions we had. The assessment was carried out in a professional and timely manner in a relaxed environment. The team provided verbal feedback with an opportunity for us to discuss this with them, as well as a detailed report on the findings.

The service I received from The Autism Service was excellent. They were professional and quick to respond to all my communications. During the assessments, I felt heard and respected. Both of the assessors were kind, patient, and thorough, and the feedback I received was very insightful. The administrative staff handling my case were very attentive and always prompt to respond to my emails. The waiting list was short; I completed all the assessments and was diagnosed within 3-4 months of first making contact with the service.
