I have really enjoyed my sessions with Michelle and felt clearer and happier each time. I loved art as a child and for me at least, the way that Michelle brings drawings and images into counselling helps me reconnect with that good feeling and sense of freedom. I had lots of troubles in my childhood but art and book illustrations were fascinating for me and I have missed that pleasure as a "serious" adult. I find talking with Michelle easy and she is a very happy and calm person who can really understand where you are and how you feel. Its nice to feel valued and nice to spend a hour being creative, whether you "can draw" or not - that's not important. Your fears and worries can take shape and so can the things you love and want to happen next. For me, this is a gentler way to explore feelings about tough stuff. Sometimes words can overwhelm or be hard to find. Sometimes words hurt you in the first place and you just don't want them repeated over and over. So art in your own way might give you a way to picture what you see as good and bad, then and now and put something down on paper that you feel right about. I think Michelle seems really happy in her work and it comes across so you feel at ease. I hope more people get to try art therapy and remember that kindness and imagination are really healing and can help to lift you out of fear and depression. I'm very grateful to have done some safe exploring in lockdown- I think so many people could benefit from some support and a quiet space to rebuild and start planning for what comes next.

Over the lockdown period I didn't realise how fragile I was feeling about how heavily it was impacting my life and my business. I was offered 6 sessions with Michelle that really helped me to reframe my experience in an unexpectedly positive way. She helped me recognize how I was feeling as part of a bigger pattern of experiences I had gone through and consider how I had navigated them to find positive answers to this year. Michelle has a gift for clarifying and mapping out emotions so they can be understood and processed - I found this much more helpful than I would have imagined. I would fully recommend this.

Highly recommend The Art of Emotions - Creative Therapy website and resources. It's really accessible and I've found it very useful for helping me reflect on and work through many personal issues. The wonderful use of creative art therapy through different fun and engaging activities really helped to put things in perspective for me. Whenever I'm feeling a block in my creativity it's reassuring to know this is here to help shift that blockage. The support provided by the highly experienced and qualified therapist is second to none. Give it a go, you won't regret it. Plus Michelle is boss ?⭐?❤

I have worked with Michelle a few times now and each time she has shown to be very professional, mindful, engaging and creative. She has engaged with groups in creative sessions and some of our 'harder to reach' children with ease through actively listening, empathising and taking the time to get to know the children too. Cant wait to work with Michelle again in the future 🙂

I have experienced The Art of Emotions as a recipient of Michelle's exceptional coaching. Michelle gave me both the space to let thoughts and emotions surface, and then gently nudged me to where I could make really positive progress. She really does live her values and helps others see theirs.

Where do I begin? Having these art therapy sessions has completely changed my life and helped me to channel my trauma and emotions into creativity. I cannot thank Michelle enough and would 100% recommend this service to anyone who needs support with navigating emotions and life experiences or even just needs to talk something through with someone who can listen and help you to find the answers within!

Michelle's Creative Arts Therapy enables people to recognise and deal with their own emotions. The workshops, which are run in a friendly, highly professional manner, encourage people to explore their emotions, using drama as a medium.
Her workshops are truly enlightening.

I feel like a new person after completing the creative therapy programme.

I began the programme about a year ago today. Among other feelings, quarantine has, fortunately, served as a time for me to assess my emotional, psychological and physical states and imagine where I could have been heading if I hadn't had, as well as created, the time to realise, renegotiate and recuperate via creative therapy.

Not having a deadline for completing the 13-chapter programme has really been effective for me. I began the programme, then took a long break, and was still able to come back and finish it when I was ready. And because I feel more emotionally enlightened, I am now able to create a life that works for me, and thus in a manner that contains less procrastinaton, more organisation and more contentess.

My utmost gratitude!
Hellen
