I cannot recommend SEN Professionals enough.

The cost is very reasonable compared to the 10 other companies I contacted, and the service was very personable from start to finish. There is also a short waiting list; I think we waited around 4 weeks.

I was particularly attracted by the fact that the assessments were done in a home-from-home environment as opposed to a clinical one.

My child was shy and very anxious when we arrived but Rebecca and Kim made them feel at ease very quickly.

The assessment was thorough and appropriate. The results were shared on the day and we were given some useful information on the day before the full report follows in about 2 weeks.

We travelled an hour to go to SEN Professionals but for us it was important we chose the right people and place to carry out the assessment and we definitely weren't left disappointed.

After being on the NHS ASD Assessment waiting list of over 12 months, we were informed that we should expect a further 4 year wait. Armed with this information, we decided to act.
After conducting some research on private assessments, I spoke to the SENCO at my child’s school and was pointed in the direction of The SEN Professionals Ltd; which had been used by other parents in the school community. I must add that, in terms of cost, they were one of the most reasonably priced on comparison.

The process itself was extremely efficient. I made an initial enquiry and was informed that their current waiting list was 6 weeks! This came as a shock, given the comparison with the NHS waiting list. I went on to provide background information, and then the school and I were sent separate forms to complete. On completion of the forms, we were provided with an assessment date; a Saturday, which was compulsory for us due to work commitments. Up to this point, I was able to communicate with a single person (Srebrenka), which made the process both convenient and fluent.

The appointment itself consisted of a parent and child assessment, which were conducted simultaneously. Our child was assessed by Caroline, who was warm and welcoming, allowing our child to feel at ease and be himself in her presence. The parent assessment was conducted by Dr Nicky Wood, who was very thorough, friendly and understanding. We had our other child with us (the twin of our child being assessed), who we initially planned would stay in the car with my husband, however, Nicky and Caroline came out to greet us and welcomed us all in.

On conclusion of the separate assessments, Caroline and Nicky went away to discuss their findings. On return, we all sat down together to discuss. Both Nicky and Caroline provided a detailed summary of their findings and answered all questions we put to them in depth. The outcome of our assessment was a diagnosis of ASD with accompanying language disorder.

Within 4 days we received our child’s report, the detail included was exceptional, 18 pages of analysis, recommendations and support suggestions.

We are so glad we made the decision to have our child assessed privately and would definitely recommend The SEN Professionals Ltd. They were amazing from start to finish. Thank you Srebrenka, Caroline and Nicky for all your help and support!

SEN professionals have provided us excellent support, communication and realism in a calm, friendly, professional manner. From the initial phone conversation with Srebenka, our daughter’s needs were at the heart of everything discussed, in a caring and non judgmental or pressurised manner. Thank you Srebenka!

Then after pre-screening, assessment day came…such a calm, non-medical setting which was very helpful and we were truly welcomed by Emma and fully supported and understood. It was so thorough, it was tiring, but Emma helped pace our daughter and me too!
It was very positive being given a diagnosis straight away, our daughter actually seemed relieved. Emma had picked up on our daughter’s passion for singing and together they googled famous singers with ADHD! We left feeling relieved, listened to Lily Allen songs on the journey home and felt immediately a greater understanding of the challenges we have been facing and that there are some explanations for this, and there’s valuable advice to come in the report which we can then share with school and all necessary, to help our daughter reach her full potential, thank you. We’re 100% satisfied.

Thank you so much Srebenka and Emma.

I can’t recommend SEN professionals highly enough. My son received exceptional speech and language therapy last year which helped him enormously. More recently, we used SEN professionals for my son’s ASD/ADHD assessment. The process was thorough, everything was fully explained and the professionals carrying out the assessment were so kind to my son and I. Thank you so much Srebrenka.

This company was highly recommend by home start as a cost effective way of having our son assessed for autism after being told of the 4-6 year wait on the NHS. After speaking with Srebrenka several times our mind was put at ease. The service we received was 1st class and the setting was amazingly calm. Unlike other companies that provide the same service SEN Professionals are not pushy for payment and offer payment options. Dr Nice and Srebrenka were really good with our son and a massive support for the whole family. We highly recommend them.

Cannot thank Srebrenka and her team enough for the wonderful service offered.
Having made enquiries with a few companies offering ASD assessments , and not wanting to wait 4-5 years through the NHS, SEN Professionals made an impact immediately.
A few warm, reassuring conversations with Srebrenka and an assessment with Dr Nice all with a diagnosis at the end (and in less than 6 weeks from my initial contact!)
Their venue in Ash is inviting and made my son feel as comfortable as he could be.

If you're looking for help with private assessments, you don't need to look anywhere other than SEN. It genuinely felt though out the whole process that the team care about what they're doing and it's not about the £££

Thank you Srebrenka and Dr Nice

We had four online parent training sessions with Srebenka and I cannot recommend it highly enough ! It was practical and encouraging whilst making us realize the real difficulties posed by autism to our child. The training sessions discuss the reasons behind the challenges as well as how to address them.
This is a must for any parent with a child with autism. For the first time I could understand the reasons behind my son's behavior and devise strategies to counter it. It is hugely liberating and highly recommended.

We went here for an appointment for my daughter and the service was incredible! The professionals that accessed her were so lovely, kind and had a caring attitude. The place was beautiful and calming and instantly made us at ease after worrying about the appointment itself and how our daughter would be. We were provided with a thorough report and points on the next steps for her future.
We would highly recommend this service!
