I’m a health anxious teenager and I went for a minor surgery at QVH, I had to be put under general anaesthetic for the first time ever and was super nervous. From the minute I got there all the staff were unbelievably helpful and reassuring. I felt hardly any anxiety all day as I was kept up to date about every detail of the surgery and all the staff were so accommodating and happy to take time to talk me through things I didn’t understand or was unsure of. The whole day went very quickly and smoothly and I am so grateful for all the hardworking staff that made my experience as stress free as possible.

My elderly mother-in-law has been treated with nothing but respect and care. Our local hospital in Kent could do with taking a few notes from the amazing staff. Totally recommend.

I can't speak highly enough of the QVH.
Having been stupid enough to chop the tips off my fingers with a table saw, I have been to QVH for reconstructive surgery, and redressing.
Every encounter with staff has been amazing. Exactly the right balance of care and Mickey taking, for being an idiot.
Names I remember are Glyn, Ronatto and Lauren.
Forgotten the name of my surgeon, but he was lovely.
Thank you to everyone at QVH for your concern, humanity and professionalism.

Really do have to say that the staff here are exceptional. I went there after I got stung by a wasp on my eyelid the previous day. My eye was closed and left side off my face extremely swollen. No sooner checked in with the very helpful and patient receptionist.. I felt that I was wasting their time. Sort it out myself to which the receptionist came out from her desk and convinced me for my own good to stay. Thanks for that Im truly appreciative. I was later seen by nurse Stephen who was very professional but ultimately had time to explain everything I needed to know and had to do to sort my injury. Brilliant! Thanks very much, really appreciated.

I visited East Grinstead on Thursday after being attacked by a dog. I had my finger severed off and had to have it reattached. The staff were very helpful and lovely. I had never been to a hospital other than my local and was really nervous. I had to have a block on my arm from an anaesthetist named Raul, who talked me through every step and made me feel completely at ease. Then my surgeon was amazing. I was awake through it all and he made it very light hearted and even allowed me to watch the surgery when I asked 🤣 happy to return to this hospital for all my post care

My son was admitted with three fractures to left side of his face to undergo surgery. The care and empathy shown by the doctor and nurses it was unbelievable. As a father i am very grateful to all of the staff for their professionalism and commitment to all patients.
Many thanks.

I attended Queen Victoria Peanut Ward for the first time with my 4 year old daughter on Monday for an emergency tooth extraction having spent the previous Friday & Saturday in A&E at another hospital for over 13 hours. They referred her to Queen Vic who fitted us in straight away for my daughter to be seen. My daughter was quite scared and upset especially following her experience in A&E so it was breath of fresh air coming to Peanut Ward - the staff are worth their weight in gold and made the experience for myself and my daughter as easy as possible considering the circumstances. I wish I could remember everyones names to thank them personally - but they were all great in looking after her (and also just knowing how to talk to and deal with a child of that age who was fearful) made such a difference. And also looking after a worried Mum seeing her daughter put under for the first time - an arm around the shoulder makes all the difference. Thank you all again - you are all amazing.
Just to add even on entry to the hospital I was asked/stopped by two people to see if I was ok / knew where I was going and every team I met were so friendly including the X-ray team

Have been coming to Corneoplastics clinic for years now but they totally messed up my 2nd cornea transplant recently and wouldn’t take out my artificial Iris Implant that had caused my 1st cornea transplant to fail because it had come out of position. Now the artificial Iris implant has slipped yet again causing severe pain and needing more surgery. The Cornea surgeons here are incompetent. The bookings team have got worse too. This hospital is going downhill fast
