I was referred here for counselling via CPFT. CPFT informed me that I was an urgent case considering my personal circumstances. I had an initial appointment and then did not hear from them for 4 months. I then had one appointment with a counsellor, two weeks without an appointment and then unfortunately missed the next one because of confusion over appointment times. I called to rebook and was informed that my case was closed with immediate effect as per their policy (which I had not been informed of)

Furthermore, I tried having a reasonable conversation with the receptionist about my reasons for missing the appointment and she was rude, patronising, presumptive and uncompromising.

I work for the NHS with long waiting lists and we have NEVER treated a patient so poorly.

This seems to be yet another case of NHS contracts being handed over to private companies who deliver a shocking service at great cost to the taxpayer.

Editing my review:
After hearing my feedback my referral was reopened thankfully. I have had a couple of sessions with my therapist and they are going well. It's just a shame about the receptionist, who never apologised.

I was referred here from Peterborough and Cambridgeshire NHS (CPFT) as the NHS had outsourced some of their counselling to here. I had 3 great sessions with a counsellor – at our agreed time – but the following week did not get any contact from either the counsellor or the office (e.g. to say the counsellor was ill) at this time. I thought perhaps she had been ill but the following week, again, did not receive anything. I emailed the counsellor the next day and then today received a phone call from the office in which the receptionist was incredibly patronising and seemed to suggest they had closed my file. My file closed because MY COUNSELLOR did not show up to two appointments? Ridiculous. Would NOT recommend.
