This is definitely my happy place. Well run lake with knowledgeable staff who are friendly and always have time for a chat. I do the lake swimming but there are lots of different activities on offer. Highly recommend the after swimming brownies!

The experience at Ocean Walker Academy is amazing. The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to show you the ropes. The environment is lovely and peaceful, and the ramp down into the water makes it a really enjoyable experience to enter and exit the water. Haven’t tried the onsite sauna but would definitely be up for giving that a go too

Such a great location. An outdoor, man made, purpose built lake for all levels of swimmers. Friendly, helpful staff, loads of events and great snacks and coffee much welcome after a cool swim

Fantastic lake. I put off open water swimming for years but the water quality, serenity, customer service, and friendliness of fellow swimmers at Ocean Walker won me over. The Swim With Your Dog days are brilliant too.

Excellent well kept and well organised swimming venue. Tha lake provides a 700 metre circuit. I am not a very good swimmer but all levels are welcome. The staff are brilliant and make you feel safe and comfortable.

A great venue, very well run and staffed by really decent enthusiastic people who have put a lot of effort and energy into making this place work as well as it does.

Facilities are spotless and the most important thing is the lake is so clean and free from pollution.

Given how much is reported in the media about freshwater swimming venues across the country being adversely impacted by pollution, I consider myself very fortunate to be able to access Oceanwalker Academy and swim distance frequently in such amazing clean and clear conditions.

I have swam through the Winter Season here. A new experience for me and a steep learning curve with the personal adaptations required to keep going in the lower temperatures, I chose not to wear a wetsuit during this. Learning what I could do and what I needed to do, not just in the water but out post swim and the recovery process after was a real education.

Throughout this I was watched over by the team, both whilst in the water and in the barn with the “After Drop”. My thanks go to all of you for providing such a safe and well managed environment, that enabled me to push myself that little bit more each time.

Visited Ocean Walker Academy for the first time for my daughter to take part in the 6km Warrior Race - What an amazing place! Adam & the staff were really friendly & the facilities, especially the lake are very impressive - A super clean, shallow lake & an interesting race route through channels & around islands in a picturesque setting that even the rain couldn't spoil! The organisation & friendly inclusive 'low key' vibe around the place was absolutely perfect too - Thank you Adam & the Ocean Walker team Katie & I will be back to race again in the future 🙂

It was my first nervous time at oceanwalker, the staff were all so encouraging and helpful, the play is clean and well organised, the toilets were clean they put themselves out to help my wife too, it all added up to an awesome day, and I will be back
