If they put the same amount of effort into helping young people as they do to trying to defer referrals to other agencies or push them back, mental health in young people would be much better than it is. Not fit for purpose.

I’ve got nothing but thanks to camhs. We was very lucky. We had a fab lady help my daughter with mental health and was able to push her up the list for a neuro diagnosis. The psychologist was calming and understood straight away our concerns.
Crisis team have been amazing with my other daughter too. We are now on the list waiting for an ASD assessment.

All I can say is dont try to ring them,go and confront them in person to try get the help for your child.After 2 years,nothing.Then to add insult to injury they actually decide to ring me now that my son is too old for their services and ask how he is! We have been totally let down by them.

Zero stars if i could shocking service no wonder childrens mental health is the way it is no help or support when you reach out strange as other cahms in other loacations i know are very helpful peoples jobs need a serious re evaluation
