Had a fantastic time here. The glamping pod was well equipped, clean & warm. The hot tub was ready for us when we arrived. Fly fishing is great fun & there are some big trout to be caught here. They also have a cafe which serves a really good cooked breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to do some fly fishing, exploring the local area & relaxing.

Nice fishery nestled in the countryside near Lanark. Single track road leading up to it, similar to most fishing spots in the area.

Several different ponds to try and lots of parking places. Bait and tackle shop is open with limited hours and masks are required.

Family members used to visit regularly. Returning recently I did notice quite a lot of rubbish laying about. Compare this to another place I visited recently where twice in the same day , a staff member circled and picked up any dropped stuff.

Obviously not the people that run the fishery dropping litter but I do feel it could be a wee bit more cared for.

Overall a nice relaxing day out.

I love this place when it’s quiet. I buy the 4 hr ticket because it lets me wander around the different ponds, usually end up at the fly pond anyway. I’d love an all day catch and release go anywhere ticket guys if your looking for suggestions.
If you like a quiet fish then the best time to go is when it’s not an obvious busy day ie bank holiday or Saturday.
Shop has got a bit smaller guess most business is online now, shame as I like a rummage around especially when I’m looking for a new rod.
If you aren’t catching ask the staff what’s best, I find that if the orange Fritz isn’t working then best to pop on a team of buzzers or a black spider.

probably the best fishery been fishing it for about 13 years, place is going down hill though, Not really suitable to spin as the weeds are absolutely out of control and i was restricted to where i could fish. hopefully this will get resolved as i do love it here.

£20 for a full days fishing catch and release. Brilliant day 3 nice trout in great condition. Great fishery well stocked first class shop and very helpful staff.
