Hard to take my own healthcare seriously when I miss my appointment due to someone photocopying for 10mins while a queue is building up. Meanwhile 2 young workers under a 'Reception' section offered zero assistance to incoming patients. What am I paying for? Where are the standards? Whoever directs or leads the health centre needs visibility on the day to day.

I called as holidaying in area and had ear infection. Was on hold for 45 mins, then told I needed to come in to register temporarily, I explained what I needed. Walked down to surgery to register, waited longer at window while man chatted on phone and didn't even briefly acknowledge me. He finished his call, I explained problem, he told me I could go to any pharmacist for that. I explained what I needed was prescription only, no he insisted that the pharmacists have more powers to prescribe now. And that I wouldn't get an appt with them "for the foreseeable"
I went to pharmacy around the corner who explained that no, they cannot prescribe this.
I am now trying to order it online with a private prescription.
