I simply can't ever be more thankful and grateful I found Moira. I was beyond low when I met her, after a life of trauma, rejection and abuse.
I was simply a devastated broken mess, unable to cope, I felt beyond low and I felt shame that my children didn't want me, after a horrid controlling marriage, I needed help I couldn't do this alone anymore.
I had seen therapists in the past but only felt I got so far .... then it all came crashing down again. With the next drama, the next rejection, the next kick in the face.

My Dad didn't show love to me and he was often horrid to me so I struggled to cope with him. My sister died at only 31 after years and years of illness and abuse to me
I felt so broken and so exhausted
I wanted to find the life I searched for the one I believed I deserved
Moira did that with me, we went on a huge journey together and I found out so much about my self. My feelings, emotions and coping skills

I now go forward with skills and confidence into a life I love and feel grateful for beyond words
Thank you Moira your beyond wonderful to me

I worked with Moira for 10 months after a long-term struggle with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed, particularly after the birth of my second child. This experience has been truly transformative. Moira's compassionate, non-judgmental listening made me feel heard for the first time in a long while, and she created a safe space where I could openly express my feelings.

She was incredibly flexible, allowing me to schedule sessions around caring for my newborn, which was invaluable. Moira helped me realise that it's okay to accept my emotions rather than fight against them, and with tools like journaling and setting healthy boundaries, I now feel much more empowered and equipped to handle life's challenges.

This work with Moira has not only improved my emotional regulation but also strengthened my relationship with my partner, boosted my confidence as a parent, and helped me recognise my worth in my professional life. I highly recommend Moira to anyone seeking therapy—she’s made a lasting positive impact on my life.

In the past I had tried several different ranges of Therapy without much success. I am not one to give up easily and while in conversation with an acquaintance they happened to mention the secret to successful therapy is finding the right match. In essence, a counsellor that is very experienced, skilled and wise beyond their years. Someone that you bounce off well, trust and believe in.

My perseverance paid off when I came across Moira.

I was so inhibited in the beginning to open up and talk to a stranger about my feelings that I dreaded Monday’s for months. I would break out into sweats, stumble with my vocabulary and almost begin to stutter with fear of opening up.

Luckily for me I believed, trusted and had good faith in this Counsellor. Something just clicked and felt right. Despite feeling like a rabbit caught in the full beam of a cars headlights I felt confident and re-assured that this lady was highly skilled. She understood.

Never did I feel rushed or under pressure to articulate and communicate, the therapy was set at my pace and comfort.

Inside I had set my own targets to enable me to get the most out of this wonderful opportunity that I had been given. I was determined to find harmony and happiness within, no matter how long it took.

Every session I achieved would better my future. No pain no gain. Never in my life did I imagine that I would use someone else’s skills to benefit and better myself. After all that would be selfish, right? No, it’s not selfish, it’s learning how to recognise one’s needs and ascertaining how to get them met. Knowing you are in a safe and secure environment and finding your boundaries. Moira will assist but you have to be prepared to put the hard work in, which is about honest-communication!!

There is no quick fix to changing lifetime habits and balancing internal battles, a little like dieting, you are only as good as the work you put in.

In two years I feel that I have grown immensely in self-awareness, emotional understanding and confidence which I couldn’t have done alone or with any other therapist.

Moira has a great skill to be able to interpret and reflect back to me my thoughts and feelings. She has patience, calmness and an enormous amount of understanding of the human soul/spirit.
