Filled in a Klinik form outlining I thought I had developed a shingles patch on my neck. I was phoned within 20 minutes by a member of staff at the surgery. I was advised that my potential condition could be treated by the Pharmacist. I was very sceptical about this, being seen by someone who was not a GP.
I went to the pharmacy immediately and was promptly seem by the pharmacist in private. Admittedly, he seemed to take in part his diagnosis from my responses to some sort of tick box computer programme he followed. However, I was prescribed medication there and then and within a week all was sorted. The pharmacist did assure me on numerous occasions that if matters got worse then I was to contact the GP immediately and my condition would be prioritised.
All in all great service. I would be happy to use this route again. It certainly speeded matters up and thankfully I was able to catch the problem early.

I spoke to a doctor by telephone on the 18th September and was told they would refer me for a hospital appointment at Southampton General. This problem has been getting worse for years now. I specifically told the doctor I was having a replacement hip operation on the 25 October 2023 and was sent an appointment for the 7th November 2023. How on earth could I attend an appointment 2 weeks after my op, having a car journey of 16 miles. My surgery used to be one of the best around but sadly it is now not.
Can we have the days back when it was our right to get an appointment instead of this self assessment by online triage. We pay for this right.

Had suspected tonsillitis. Phoned and was told a doctor would call me in the afternoon. Asked to send photos and doctor called promptly and prescribed relevant medication. Absolutely superb communication and support.

Dr Camilla Janssen and the Receptionist at Milford were absolutely wonderful and helpful to both my husband and myself. As a senior Australian couple on holidays, from the time we booked, to our registering with the lovely Receptionist, and then consultations with Dr Janssen, we knew we were being looked after in a professional practice. Thank you ladies and Milford Medical Centre.

Why are people having to wait 6weeks to see a doctor when the waiting room is so often empty? Also does it make sense for elderly people who may struggle to get to the surgery to only be able to talk about one problem, cannot see how this can make any sense at all.
