Absolutely fabulous kayak tuition from Matt. Really helped us get some basic skills on our first ever venture out in our kayaks. Matt was so encouraging and knowledgeable- we would thoroughly recommend him.

Having taken sea kayak training with Matt a couple of times now I really highly recommend him. He’s quick to suss you out, find out your goals and offer the appropriate instruction to suit your paddle style. He’s a highly slick and accomplished paddler himself and he’s by your side in a blink of an eye if you find yourself in a spot of trouble. You’ll be safe and sound under the guidance of Matt.

I have been out with Matt a good few times for training and always go back if i need help with anything, i have always found him really helpful and always a good laugh. Matt is great fun to be around and always felt safe in his company as his boat handling skills and knowledge are incredible. I remember especially the time i wanted training for tide races and we paddled out to Morte point race which was Gripping,Ripping and amazing fun! at the same time and with Matts help and guidance i felt safe and had a blast!. Matt is always suggesting different paddle strokes or alterations to a stroke to make it better and a simple edging away from a rudder stroke was a game changer in and around the rocks in swell. If you need some help with anything paddling related or want to learn tide races Matt is the man and you won't be disappointed, laughs all round. Cheers Matt!

I couldn't recommend Matt more. He offered an incredible bespoke kayak coaching session. If you're not sure about trying Matt's coaching I would say 100% give it a go.

Matt clearly has a wealth of knowledge and was willing to be flexible with the session to support my personal skills development. I can't believe how much I learnt from the session while still having the time and space to have fun on the water.

Matt's communication and organisation before and after the session was also brilliant. He answered my (many) questions and went above and beyond with helpful advice and support. So all in all, It's a big thumbs up from me!

So what are you waiting for... Get out for a paddle with Matt asap!

I was recommended to use Matt Holyer coaching for my advanced sea kayak leader assessmet log book trips. I was impressed with matts coaching style and he taught me alot of new skills that I took away to use on my own trips. Lots of local knowledge and good fun to paddle with .
