I recommend that you do not have therapy from Mark. He is not a core processes psychotherapist as he describes on his website and other places where he is listed.

Maura Sills, Director of the Karuna Institute verified that he qualified as a Core Processes Psychotherapist but can no longer be regarded as such due to not maintaining his accreditation by belonging to the ACPP and BACP and membership of both is required. I would invite you to check his current status with the ACPP (Association of Core Processes Psychotherapist). Maura Sills made it clear that to remain accredited as a Core Processes Psychotherapist it is necessary to be registered with the ACPP and the UKCP to maintain accreditation. ACCP and UKCP have informed me he is not a member. as I found when I tried to log a complaint.

In addition, on his website, he claimed to follow the ethics of the UKCP and claimed to be non judgmental and that would imply that he is a current member. He was not non-judgmental. He IS a psychotherapist as anyone can call themselves that but he is NOT a Core Processes one due to not continuing to be accredited. The description is misleading. He does NOT follow the ethics of the UKCP as claimed on his website, I was judged, he is far from non-judgmental which is one of their key guidelines. There were several exchanges that I was very concerned about and they increased over time.

Finally, I found him to be domineering, judgmental after a while, condescending, dishonest, manipulative, mysogynist, inappropriate and unprofessional. He even defended domestic violence and emotional abuse. I feel that he took advantage of vulnerabilities that I explicitly told him I had. He came to odd conclusions without allowing me to discuss what happened or my feelings. Most of the above was not apparent immediately.
