Awful. 0 stars. Practitioners don’t see fit to inform GP’s anything about clients mental health deteriorating as a result of therapy. They also say there are alternatives if one kind of therapy doesn’t work out. This is false and misleading. Would not use this service again. Not ever

Don't bother. Makes Handforth Parish Council look like an immaculately organised meeting.

The service and the trust associated with it will do anything to get you off their books, including doing anything to absolutely refuse to accept when other parts of the NHS openly admit to official errors without having to make formal complaints, redefining the definition of Greater Manchester (which apparently now does not include several parts of Greater Manchester), they are straight up not doing their duties in safeguarding by sending a discharge letter 10 minutes after a missed appointment with no regard to where the hell the patient is, and has refused to make several very reasonable adjustments due to disability due to lack of capacity in the service, despite the NHS being a billion pound organisation.

The astonishing lack of care of patients can also be seen in for the lack of care for the therapists and other staff who are clearly overworked and are left to the wolves.

The admin manager will proceed to call you abusive as soon as you mention any possible problems with this service. The service manager will blame everything on austerity, and I'm surprised he's not tried to blame austerity on austerity. The service manager will happily waste an hour talking to you without ever resolving any of the issues. It's even impossible to contact them most of the time as there's no clear email to contact them on and the phones are often dead.

I could go on. Genuinely, this is the worst experience I've had with mental health services by far, and I've had the misfortune of being under many others within the last 8 years so this one is truly awful.

Truly shows that the CQC rating of Inadequate is well deserved and no lessons have been learnt. Whole thing needs to be rebuilt from scratch. No therapy can be obtained here, you'll come out worse than when you first went in.

Shocking.

Absolutely deflating 'service' and I use the term service very lightly... It's like a box ticking place. Somewhere they would rather not see patients face to face, made reasonable adjustments or accommodate those who require appointments during limited times due to disability self care and carers duties. Refuse to work within communication needs - eg. Phonecalls when it is stated communication via email/text/letter die to processing etc. Discriminatory. And all of this after a significant wait, then a need to change therapist due to personal reasons.... Then another significant wait seeing as I was already in active services with them. When I queried why I had been allocated someone with an accent I was told "I was the only one available" and "I can't change my accent" - which is 100% accepted... But I can't change my disability; and have been allocated an unsuitable practitioner.

Only plus points are the cheery reception staff.

I would have gave zero if I could. I had my first session today after waiting over a year and I was left MORE depressed and feeling rubbish than I have ever felt before. The lady Denise I spoke to said things I hadn’t said and had no interest in helping me or supporting me, just few minutes in I realised this was the biggest regret in my life and wish I had never bothered. I think they are there to push people over edge more than to help. I would recommend to stay clear from this service, they do not have your best intentions

Self referred since Jan, only got an appointment a few weeks ago which I couldn’t make. Waited another 3 weeks to get an appointment only to wait another 3 weeks. I tried to understand but am at breaking point but the system and lack of empathy from Liam the receptionist is appalling.

This is apppalling !! The staff are horrendous the management team are a disgrace they themselves actually cause mental health issues for the family's having to deal with there incomputance, neglect and unprofessionalism. Conni obad is a disgrace and should be struck off completely unacceptable totally failed our family member it's just heartbreaking what these people have allowed and the support they give to the incompetent staff is quit frankly more than they ever gave our family member.
