Having suffered from a heart attack around 7 months ago at the age of 41, I had been trying to ensure I get the best care possible. Not satisfied with my local NHS doctors clinic, I searched for private doctors on the Isle of Wight and came across the Lantern clinic. Finding Margarita has been exactly what I was looking for. Someone who is highly intelligent and willing to use her expertise to investigate my unique circumstances and formulate a bespoke solution. She has discovered one of the problems of mine has been related to my gut/microbiome. Following a test she prescribed me a cocktail of natural substances to get my gut back into balance. 2 months into the process my gut / digestion feels normal again and I am much more energised and feeling more positive. After 10 years of searching for an answer to an answer to my gut problem, chronic pain and fatigue, I found the answer in Dr Margarita. After being told by the NHS and private consultants that they couldn't find a problem, certainly one which could be fixed surgically, I was beginning to question my sanity! Finding and meeting Dr Margarita was literally the last roll of the dice for me.

From our initial meeting I felt that at last someone was listening to and understanding my problem. A face to face meeting involved an in depth discussion so she could get a better understanding of me, my lifestyle and family history, all relevant to getting the right care. Obviously each individuals tests/care will be different but mine identified some serious gut conditions which the doctor was able to explain to me in layman's terms along with a recommended programme of treatment.

Dr Margarita's friendly, calm and focused manner is both reassuring and motivating. Although only part way through my programme, I feel I am beginning to get my life back and can resume some of the interests I have which I thought I'd lost forever.

I cannot believe how much better I am! I followed a treatment plan which was tailored to my specific needs. It has taken just under a year but my gut is better and apart from a bit of tiredness I have no other fybromyalgia symptoms. No fibro related pain! My hands don't shake, no brain fog, restless legs have calmed down, my walking is improving, I can drive, paint, garden and do yoga. The NHS couldn't help me but this amazing doctor has given me a huge part of my life back. It still doesn't feel real, it's incredible and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I’ve been dr Margarita’s patient since the beginning of the year. I came to her very unwell with many postpartum complications (I had developed eclampsia and my liver had suffered a lot) while having several chronic conditions to think of which weren’t at a good place either. Tricky situation with many hormones and test results out of balance. I felt dizzy, weak, severely fatigued, in a lot of pain, couldn’t sleep and was angry at my body.

With her excellent expertise, she firstly looked at me as a whole human being, supported me while taking decisions on what to be tested, treated and supplemented in a non conventional way. By that I mean that I wasn’t put on dozens of medications, instead she dived deep into the causes and roots as reasons for my conditions and symptoms. I have been listened to, looked after and kept under her care. She managed to support my gut and I have felt massive difference for such a small period of time. My energy levels are up, I enjoy life more and most of my unpleasant symptoms are gone.

Very rarely nowadays there are medical professionals with this kind of deep approach towards the human body. I am sure that my health will benefit from all of the treatments in long term too.
