I have experienced a number of different aspects of Jungian psychotherapy with David: from detailed word association experiments to get an initial grasp on the 'shape' of my psychological makeup, through a large number of careful dialogues about my dream experiences and how they relate to latent and emerging psychological factors, to more recently the surprisingly fertile experience of sandplay where one constructs a diorama from found objects in a 'deliberately unstructured' way.

All of these techniques are specifically designed to uncover the unconscious by bypassing the conscious mind, and by doing so allow the psychotherapy to focus upon latent tendencies that even quite self-aware people may not know about themselves. I speak as a naturally reflective introvert with a strong interest in psychology and many years of quite serious meditation practice behind me!

David has what I believe is a rare combination of deep knowledge of his subject area background (Jungian psychotherapy and the profound philosophical and spiritual foundations upon which it is based) along with genuine human empathy and an easy ability to listen as long as required and introduce ideas when it is appropriate to do so. This makes dialogues with him relaxed, enjoyable and productive, in my experience.
