My 8-year old daughter had her primitive reflexes therapy here. Retained primitive reflexes caused some difficulties with coordination, attention, muscle tone and stamina. After few months muscle tone improved a lot, attention span increased (confirmed by teachers at school). Overall learning and writing got easier due to improved concentration and muscle strength. Exercise programme is easy to follow with step-by-step instructions from the therapist. My daughter was able to do most of the exercises with minimal assistance to ensure accuracy.
I would recommend this therapy to anyone with similar challenges. We had Andrew as our therapist - very knowledgeable and experienced in this type of therapy, engages children very well.

I initially contacted I Straker for a private ADHD diagnosis after being disheartened by the long NHS waiting times and I couldn’t be happier with the speed and quality of the treatment I received.

Attended Straker Consultants for an ADHD assessment in June. Since then they have supplied a diagnosis and titrated my medication to the correct level for me. I’ve had major issues with my GP surgery with Shared Care arrangements and the team at Straker have helped me through it superbly. I’ve been a mental health nurse for a considerable length of time and I can happily say that my experience of Straker Consultants, specifically Natalia, Oscar, David and Hannah has been one of knowledgable, professional and very supportive practice.

Words simply could not read nor justifiably express the impact this particular 40yrs primitive reflex rehabilitation programme has had on ALL our lives, it is like no other out there.

In less than a year, my child has made more progress than in seven years under any other therapy; it has been absolutely life changing for us all, especially my child.

Amongst MANY of the continuous progress we are witnessing daily we are seeing more independence, improved sensory processing, significant improvements in emotional regulation, better attention and focus, improved gross motor, fine motor and oro-motor skills to name a few.

The team at Istraker Consultants are incredibly welcoming and have a truly wonderful client centred approach to the work that they do; delivery life long change to the client and their families.

Would highly recommend this company. I used them to get my diagnosis and they worked with me to try different medications. Unfortunately, the medication didn’t work out for me - which I was warned about by the staff. Overall though, the company itself was great, the staff were always incredibly helpful and friendly and I’m really grateful for all the help and support I have received.

My son has been seeing Andy at Istraker for primitive reflex integration. This is a new service offered by Istraker but we have been working with Andy for about a year and have followed him from a different organisation. Retained reflexes can cause a number of developmental delays including learning, processing, SEMH and fine and gross motor delays which can present as similar to ASD, ADHD and a number of other “diagnosable” disorders and neurodiversity. In 12 months my son’s academic performance, emotional regulation and stamina have dramatically improved (measured by school test results and observations from myself, teachers and coaches). Reflex integration isn’t as widely known in the UK. It’s big in the US. It’s not for everyone (parent or child). From our personal experience I can highly recommend this programme but do your research and be prepared to help your child with daily 25-30 minutes of slow gentle exercises that are taxing on the brain as the brain develops new neural pathways.
