My Dad was admitted in to Hays House on a 'Discharge to Assessment' basis following 10 weeks in Bath RUH. He has only been in a week, but has been given a lovely, functional room on the ground floor overlooking the rear garden and open countryside beyond. The staff have greeted him well, and treat him with respect and care. He is 'happy with his lot', (as he says) has everything he needs, and is comfortable in his own little room. Although he is happy there, we hope he will be transferred to a permenant nursing home soon, and be nearer his wife in Devizes.
Thanks to all the management & staff at Hays 🙂

The care, the empathy, the honest approach all the Staff showed towards my Darling, at times , difficult Mum, will never be forgotten. On every level, the staff at Hays House show how a Care Home should be.
We hear scary stories of how other Care Homes are but, Andrea, the Manager and all her Team are Wonderful.
Mojo, having been in nursing herself, not only appreciated but understood how the system worked, Hays House, not only looked after her but treated her with her with dignity and style(im only sorry that as her son I couldn't do that), but medically and associated help You did that.
The acts of kindness, your gardener giving her sweetpeas, the chef, cooking her favourites, the carer sorting out her manicure will never be forgotten, Thank You.
Even on her final journey you were there, Thank You,
I will, as mum taught me, put pen to paper, but at the moment, this is a temporary Thank you,
with all my best wishes,
Ceri Thomas,
A very proud son of Maureen Christmas Thomas

Mum’s been here less than a week, and the care has been excellent, within 24hrs they’ve her standing up, which is the first time in over 2 months. The home is located in beautiful countryside and the staff are friendly and kind.

My Dad hates it here, no one there in the morning. Nothing to do. No one keeps us informed. Awful staff turnaround. Sadly a vast majority are non English speaking (especially on weekends) which doesn’t help residents. AVOID at all costs if you value your loved ones. Awful place. Additional comment: If you leave a bad (honest reviews) management will try to intimidate your relative then storm off in a huff - so unprofessional
