Great Oak Therapies and Emma’s “Bowen Therapy” specifically was recommended to me by three(!) of my colleagues and I am tremendously grateful that they did!

Emma was kind enough to book me in at short notice due to me being in dreadful pain with my neck which felt locked up and was intermittently in spasm.

I’d never had a Bowen treatment before but Emma put me instantly at ease and explained the procedure clearly and thoroughly.

The treatment was actually an amazing experience, tremendously relaxing with a noticeable all round release of tension not just in my area of injury.

About 20-30 minutes into my treatment I became aware that along with a release of pressure in my neck, there was also a distinct absence of pain and I was astonished when about 10 minutes after that Emma was able to gently turn my head both through 90 degrees right and left without pain (I was at about 50% mobility with a lot of pain when I walked in).

By the end of my treatment, I was not only virtually pain free, but also felt an all-round sense of well being and my nose was unblocked (a completely unexpected benefit!).

I slept so well last night having had next to no sleep the night before because of all the pain I was experiencing.

Emma is the loveliest person and an incredible therapist, I would recommend her to others as wholeheartedly as my colleagues (who had experienced the profound benefits of her therapy) recommended her to me.
