I first used their services a couple of years ago. I was most impressed by their attention to detail, and decided that they deserved a review.
I forgot.
Having returned this week for another eye test I was given the same thorough attention. Nothing was too much trouble. This time I resolved to put pen to paper (or in this case fingers to the keyboard) and happy to award them at least 5 stars.

I honestly can’t thank the staff at Croft & Graves opticians in Corbridge enough. I rang them this morning (4/10/24) as my usual optician had been less than helpful (no optician till Tuesday, receptionist less than friendly, go to RVI but the wait will be hours and hours - had my two year old and no childcare). I wear contacts and after taking my right one out yesterday my eye felt gritty and sore. I was worried about struggling with the discomfort all weekend so asked if I could see someone at Croft and Graves today. I got an appointment for 12 o’clock (rang them at 9.30am), got seen and I’m so thankful I did because the condition I had while not serious had to be treated with medication. Susan, the receptionist, was amazing both during the call (I was really upset) and during my visit. She was professional and friendly but also kind. Nick was reassuring and explained everything clearly so I could understand what was happening. I will now be going to Croft and Graves for all my future eye care. I highly recommend!

Fantastic service again today, after my initial consultation and comprehensive eye examination last week my new glasses are ready for me to collect, it was great to meet Mrs Kath Richmond who explained and carried out the examination with total professionalism, also great to be well and truly looked after by Fay Leech who did a fantastic job when it came to fitting and selecting my new varifocal Lenses and frames.
A great team of totally professional people who are only to willing to see you through your journey from examination to final product.

Friendly and very professional opticians. There is a fantastic range of frames to choose from, and the 3 pairs of glasses I bought recently have much nicer frames and better quality lenses than the previous ones I had from spec savers. My eyes have been much more comfortable with the new glasses. It's worth paying a little bit more for an infinitely better quality product and service.

A few weeks ago during an eye test at Croft and Graves they identified a macular degeneration problem with my right eye and they then notified the NHS. With the help of Mr Croft and his staff I was given an appointment at the Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle Eye Hospital.

I attended the RVI last week and after various tests the Consultant confirmed Mr Croft's diagnosis of wet macular degeneration which would eventually lead to loss of vision. On the Consultant's recommendation I started a course of treatment immediately with an injection into the eye. The benefits of the injection are already apparent since I have noticed a reduction in the area affected by the macular degeneration.

Thanks to Mr Croft and his excellent friendly staff the problem in now being treated. The people of Corbridge are fortunate to have such a professional, friendly and caring optician.
