I would totally recommend Chester Counselling Association especially Sam whom I see at the Liverpool clinic. She provides a safe haven where I feel able to discuss my issues around childhood trauma, alcohol misuse and relationship problems. Sam is extremely perceptive and empathetic and I find her comprehensive and bespoke approach has helped highlight the issues at the heart of my pain. Prior to choosing therapy I was already taking antidepressants, but felt no joy in my life. Since talking with Sam I have reduced my dependency on medication and alcohol, and for the first time I have a positive and hopeful outlook. Rest assured you will be in safe hands.

Sam and her team have made me feel very comfortable. I’ve learned many tools to help me work through my struggles. I feel like I’m speaking to people that truly care. I liked the overall experience of talking about my emotions and I learned to better handle all of my thoughts.
I’ve visited both their Liverpool and Holylake offices and feel more than comfortable in both so I look forward to visiting their Chester office which I know will be as warm and welcoming as the others.
