As a young male adult, approaching the start of my university life. I found Amanda’s sessions did a world of good for me. She is very warm, welcoming and extremely easy to talk to. She has helped me learn an impressive amount about myself and my thought processes, while also going into the finer details of neuroscience and how the brain is stimulated in so many different ways throughout the day. She has helped to increase my awareness of how I react to certain situations and I have gained nothing but invaluable knowledge and stories from her and couldn’t thank her more. Her sessions were the most relaxing part of my week and helped me so much to create an emotionally and physically “still” place in my day that I could really unwind in whilst learning something new. Could not recommend more.

A fabulous course that my 10 year old daughter and I attended. She still uses the breathing techniques to calm down and to get to sleep at night. I use the breathing too when I can't get back to sleep. We listen to the meditations and both feel so much more informed about how the brain works and how we can look after our mental health - especially my daughter. The crafts she made are still in her room and cherished. So valuable to have a space to think about how we react and how to manage emotions, crucial life skills in my opinion.

I recently attended the 'Be Yourself' course with Amanda and after 6 weeks, I can say honestly say that it has changed my life. The course was fantastic. Amanda provided the group with great notes, little gifts and visual aids each session. The props that we were given, I now use every day.
Amanda made me feel very comfortable and she got the group bonding in no time. Amanda made everyone feel very relaxed and calm - I always left dreading the drive home!
Trying to sum up how I feel about the course and the positive impact it has had on my life is not easy, but strongly recommend getting in touch with Amanda to see how she can help. I have learnt how to breathe correctly. I have learnt about psychology and the science that explains why we feel the way we do. I have learnt how to regulate my emotions and how to properly relax. I have learnt so much that I now use everyday. I cannot recommend this course strongly enough - thank you Amanda.

I chose to see Amanda for 121 sessions following six highly beneficial family sessions with my four children, two years prior. I wanted to understand more about myself as an individual outside the context of my family and why my life seemed to have become such an effort. Why at 51 was I still over thinking my previous experiences, uncertain about my current thoughts, words and actions and frightened by the future?

Amanda’s sessions were totally tailored to my needs and the information I gained was life changing. She covered brain function, it’s relationship with patterns of thought and behaviour and the fact that you have a choice to change these well trodden neural pathways if they are not serving you well. She also explained the mechanics and impact of the menopause beyond hot flashes and grumpiness and how to embrace this important time of my life. She gave me breathing and relaxation techniques, and highlighted the importance self soothing and quietening my mind.

I am towards the end of my course of six sessions and I honestly feel transformed in mind and body. I am no longer confused, frustrated or limited by my previous perceptions of the menopause. I am embracing it and I know it is MY time. My past experiences have lead to where I am now, but I can choose to let them go and I have strategies to do this. I am far more soft, relaxed and accepting of myself and I am much better at making mindful, healthy choices in my thoughts and actions. I notice more, I judge less and I am kinder to myself and those around me. For the first time in my life I feel good enough and I know that going forward, I can be the best version of myself.

Myself and my daughter attended a 6 week programme led by Amanda over 6 months ago. Not only was it a fantastic experience to be able to participate along with my daughter, it left us with life long strategies which we now implement on a daily basis (sometimes without even thinking about it, as it’s ‘routine’) My daughter was taught about feelings and emotions and how to help understand and express them and I learned how to help her do so. The art and craft activities were a huge ‘hit’ and my daughter has them in her room as a reminder of what she has learned. I can’t thank Amanda enough for the difference she has made to our everyday lives.

My daughter, as a secondary school student in her final GCSE year, found that Amanda introduced her to different stress-relieving techniques including breathing techniques & visualisations which helped her throughout her mock exam period. Amanda was patient & helped her see things in a different light, especially during these times of uncertainty. Having to do sessions via Zoom didn't hinder their effectiveness.

Recognising the importance of mental health that is quite often ignored by younger men like myself, as a 28 year old male feeling a little bit lost and clouded with work and home life I contacted Amanda. I attended the 'Be Yourself' course run by Amanda. It was fabulous - it's opened my mind to the possibilities of how I can influence and deal with what life both offers and throws at me. Amanda has such a lovely way of teaching and explaining and as well as learning new techniques each week I felt thoroughly relaxed - I'd highly recommend this course.
