My counselling sessions with Nick were dynamic, engaging and sometimes intense as we worked through my drama. Nick brought knowledge, understanding and experience and was able to offer tools and perspectives through discussion, examples and visual aids that helped me see through my potential barriers. Nick is straight talking and has the courage and experience to call me out when required and was quick at identifying focus areas to bring about effective change and wellbeing, which was just what I needed.

Counsellor (Nick) was very good at making you feel at ease and making you understand the reasons you we do things/think things/act certain ways. This understanding was the single most important thing for myself. Once I had an understanding why, I could then move on.

The way Nick conducts the sessions in a relaxed manners helps to get the maximum out of your time with him.

I started to Colourful Minds towards the end of 2021 when I needed a more practical and hands on therapy following a struggle with my overthinking through lock down.

I started seeing Nick, who immediately (in the first session) identified possible OCD, which through a psychiatrics review and extremely helpful therapeutic methods, was diagnosed to be true. This gave me a huge sense of relief and allowed us to build a plan to work through some of the symptoms and I am honestly the happiest I have been for close to 10 years.

Nick is professional, friendly, and challenging in a way to hold the patient accountable for their own self help. His work with addicts both privately (with CM) and professionally (with The Priory) makes him able to handle the tough subjects and conversations that are often needed, yet feared.

Conversations have become more general now and I look forward to chatting and the avenue is one some people often don't have with people other than their family (which can be clouded - save the tough conversations for when they are necessary and keep it lighter at home).

I'm very grateful for the work they have done with me at Colourful Minds and would recommend them highly to anyone (and I have several times).
