We don't normally have a problem booking on-the-day appointments at the Sheppey Healthy Living Centre, or the Minster Medical Centre, their other site, if you are quick on the dial at 8am sharp ! But it's a different story if you want to book a non-urgent appointment. Called three times on Wednesday (May 8th) in an attempt to book a Spring Covid jab for my wfe and myself. First time at 11am, second at 12.45pm and finally at 5pm, having been kept on hold for nearly 20 minutes each time before I finally gave up in sheer frustration. I know this surgery is busy - aren't all surgeries? - but I think it's unacceptable when it becomes virtually impossible to get an answer at any time after the early-morning rush. Maybe I'll book a week's holiday and stay on the phone all day every day for a week !

Sad to find most of the facilities that I was expecting were no longer there. Very aggressive staff told me quite fiercely that dogs were not allowed even though my dog had her service harness on! And this all happened Infront of the automatic front doors! Not even taken to one side to make their point. I pointed out that a medical device dog must be allowed to accompany it's owner when they are unaided. Not a good experience at all.

Just need to say, Clare the nurse is so friendly, patient and informative. She's done both of my children's immunisations since I've lived on the island, I've seen her a couple of times myself too and she still has the same caring professionalism. Consistent and reassuring.

Doctors surgery on the first floor of the sports centre, lift available from the ground floor, public toilets provided just by the lift and stairs. Narrow long waiting room, the rooms to one side, could do with a better layout and fresh paint job, not much natural light.
