I went to see Ian for a shoulder issue and I am so glad I did as he is an excellent physiotherapist. In the first session he took the time to understand my issue, check and evaluate what I could do. He then tailored a set of exercises to my specific issue and the equipment (or lack of) that i had access to. Within a week i felt the first improvements i have had in my shoulder for months and it is getting better and better. Ian is very knowledgeable and each appointment he builds upon my progress. he is methodical and patient but I have never felt rushed only pushed and motivated to keep improving. I can't recommend him more highly! Ian thank you so much and keep up the good work.

Currently seeing Ian on a weekly basis after a total knee replacement.
I was referred to Scunthorpe General Hospital Physio at first but wasn't making much progress so I decided to book a session with Ian.
With his knowledge and gym equipment Ian soon got me bending the knee to where it should be without the pain you'd expect. It is a case of steadily making small strides on a weekly session with him which is working very well for me.
He totally understands which treatment is needed for your recovery, seeing my knee gain strength and flexibility has been amazing over the few weeks that I have been visiting.

I was originally recommended Ian in 2021 with a running injury. I couldn't even walk without limping yet he enabled me to complete the North Lincs half marathon after just a few sessions.

Ian is very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and always seems to have good availability (some physios seem to be booked up for months!), which is why I would always use and recommend Ian's services.

My Dad and I visited Ian after my Dad who is 83 had a fall. Ian has an amazing ability to build rapport quickly and was able over a four session period to rehabilitate Dads movement giving him the confidence to get out and about again, walking with assurance and feeling less anxious. Ian's approach worked well for my Dad, he built his confidence in his strength and got him to focus on the way he moves, stands and navigates around. Whilst Dad found some of the sessions challenging because they were outside of his comfort zone he thoroughly enjoyed his sessions and that is purely down to the way Ian communicated with him and the focus he places on building genuine rapport with his clients. So much so Dad is now enjoying using kettle bells alongside his regular exercises on an almost daily basis! Thank you Ian.

Ian has been coaching me since September 21. I am not the easiest client as I am forever changing my mind about my goals! He has coached me to success in triathlons - sprint and Olympic - duathlons - on and off road, 5k pbs, 10k pbs and my first half marathon! More recently I asked his thoughts on ultra runs and of course Ian said yes no problem so currently my plans are with that goal in mind. This is testament to Ian’s multi discipline knowledge !
He makes the plans fit my busy working life and keeps me accountable. Plans are very personalised and Ian takes time to research your locality to make the best use of routes available to you.
I would highly recommend Ian if you have a specific goal in mind or want to push yourself to new limits

Ian McBride was recommended to me as a coach when I first thought about running a Marathon back in 2020 and signing up with him was one of the best things I did. Since then I’ve run five Marathons and his support has been absolutely invaluable. As an older runner, his weekly training schedules, always tailor made to my previous weeks results, and positive feedback, insured that I reached race day in the best possible shape, and he helped me to a Good for Age time for the London Marathon which I have run twice now. Hoping to be in again next year! In addition his excellent diagnostic and treatment skills ensured that the few injuries I picked up along the way were quickly sorted and didn’t have a negative effect on my training. I have no hesitation in recommending Ian to anyone who wants to take on a new challenge - he will give you 100% support and you won’t be disappointed.

I have struggled with running injuries for a while, until I saw Ian and he finally helped me. After 1 session he understood my problems and put a plan in place to help, which has proved effective.

I can’t recommend Ian more. I will be going back to him in the future for any further issues and recommending him to anyone I know.

I would highly recommend Ian to anyone looking for a qualified and experienced coach for their next challenge. I have been coached by Ian for London Marathon, the Alp D’Huez Duathlon and most recently The GB Ultras Penine Barrier 50, all have required very different bespoke training plans which Ian developed as my training progressed. Ian pushed me to get the most out of my training and it was hard at times, but that is what you’re paying a coach for. I feel very lucky to have had Ian’s support and guidance throughout my training, I really couldn’t have done it without him.
