I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent appointment with Psychiatry UK. I was hoping for a supportive and empathetic experience in a difficult time, but unfortunately, I was left feeling rushed, misunderstood, and not properly heard.

Specifically, I felt that the clinician I spoke with was dismissive of my needs. I was not given adequate time to express myself, and the pace of the conversation made it difficult for me to follow or understand the questions being asked. Rather than feeling supported in discussing my mental health concerns, I felt pressured and uncomfortable, which made the experience even more distressing.

I understand that professionals in this field must balance time constraints, but I feel that the approach used during my appointment did not meet the standard of care I expected from a mental health service. The lack of empathy and understanding from the clinician, coupled with the feeling of being rushed, has left me reluctant to seek further support through Psychiatry UK.

As a client, I believe I am entitled to be treated with respect, patience, and understanding. Unfortunately, I did not experience this during my appointment. I would appreciate your attention to this matter and request that this feedback be shared with the relevant team members to ensure future clients do not experience similar difficulties.

I would welcome a response regarding how this issue will be addressed, and I hope that Psychiatry UK will take steps to ensure a more supportive and patient-centered approach in the future.

Got referred to this service with right to choose by my gp for an adhd assessment. It took nearly a year to be seen but that’s understandable as social media has made lots of people aware of the service and their very busy. Can’t remember my doctors name but he took the time to listen to everything I was saying and has put my on the titration waiting list. I’ve been looking to see a private psychiatrist as the nhs ones haven’t been much help for my other mental health conditions and seeing that they do consultations for my condition I’m definitely going with this service, it’s nice to get professional help from the comfort of your own home

My Doctor was fantastic, he completely made me feel at ease and truly felt i was listened to. he was very patient and didn't remind repeating himself when i completely forgot what i was talking about. would 100% recommend the long wait is frustrating but its understandable and worth it. don't give up

Having just had my consultation, and I'm really happy to recommend Psychiatry UK. The wait was long but that is beyond their control, and monthly contact reminds you that you are not forgotten. The consultation itself was both professional and empathetic. Even though there is a lot to discuss, I felt at ease and really listened to. Do not hesitate to use them.

Fantastic service. My appointment was approximately 9 months from completing my initial referral forms. The Consultant (Dr. Khalid Saleem) was so easy to talk to & took the time to listen without rushing me. He also explained things really well & broke things down for me when I wasn't sure how to answer/didn't understand. Just from having the assessment & the conversation with explanations has made me feel so much better. I look forward to seeing if/how my treatment will improve my life. Thank you Psychiatry UK.

I recently had my ASD assessment with Dr. Sushma Rao, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and professionalism she showed throughout. Dr. Rao was incredibly thoughtful, kind, and considerate, ensuring I felt comfortable and understood during the process. She took the time to explain everything to me clearly, helping me to better understand my diagnosis, which made a huge difference. On top of that, she helped me address and resolve some long-standing anxiety I had been dealing with, which I never thought I’d get clarity on. I have had to change this review. The end of titration didn't happen and I have been fobbed off repeatedly. I also had to get in touch with my GP and he suggested that I was almost psychotic because I had been given a dose far too large for what I needed. The titration process was very unhelpful and too quick. This is a serious medication and it wasn't taken seriously at all.
