I decided to go local as opposed to many years of Specsavers ( and others eg Vision Express….Boots…) and from the very start I was blown away by the thoroughness and detail of the eye test. Worth paying the extra for the more extensive eye care test. Choosing glasses was also really impressive….from measuring my head to ensure the choice of glasses were the right size to fit my face was something new. The outcome is that I have glasses that, without exception, have been regarded as the best I have ever had. Plus, the vision with them ( most importantly) is crystal clear. Great service from the team. Highly recommend Allegro to anyone looking for great service and great eye care.

What can I say!! My first visit was at Meltham and got an urgent appointment on the pairs scheme, from walking through the door to the examination the customer service was impeccable to say the least I have returned and a visit to Greenfield for an eye test greeted with fab service and great expertise with extreme professionalism. I was so impressed I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses and my prescription is quite high, however when I collected them I was astonished how thin the lenses were and the overall look, very trendy and stylish. Allegro is the leader in is field of excellent service and expertise . A great team throughout all sites. Canno wait to update my other glasses and contact lenses soon huge thank youxx

After being a specsavers customer for years i thought I'd go local. Wow, the eye test (with oct) was over and above. Omar was brilliant and explained the why's and wherefores and is very thorough.
Was reluctant to go from bifocals to varifocals but Sheryl talked me through the different lenses and so glad I did.
Would highly recommend it.

My children and I visited Allegro (Meltham) for our eye tests & I was blown away by the care & attention to detail we received.

Because neither of my young children had been for an eye test before, Sheryl advised me to book myself in with their appointments to follow - so they could watch my appointment & it would take away some of the unknown for them.

From the moment we walked in, to the minute we left, we felt welcome. Omar was excellent with the children. He explained everything he was checking for & was extremely thorough with the tests. And patience - he had so much patience with my 5 and 2 year old! They’d booked plenty of time for the appointments back-to-back so we weren’t rushed.

Nothing was too much trouble, they have machines for specialised tests & the shop is lovely. Highly recommended

Excellent test, very thorough and optician explained everything clearly. When I asked about a particular issue I had they knew the answer and explained it in a clear and concise way for me to understand. There were lots of very modern equipment through out the shop. The Staff were very friendly and very honest about the health of my eyes.

My last appointment was with specsavers and they told me I needed glasses and sold me a pair that weren’t cheap. It turns out I never needed glasses in the first place after Allegro looked at my past prescription.
